Cancellation Policy by Ecohikes

1. If Ecohikes cancels an event due to unavoidable circumstances (e.g., weather, government restrictions), participants will be offered:
• Full refund of the booking amount, OR
• The option to transfer the booking to another trip/event of equal value*.

 No-Show Policy

 Participants failing to arrive at the designated meeting point on time will be considered as no-shows, and no refund will be provided.

 Changes to Itinerary

 Ecohikes reserves the right to modify the itinerary or trip schedule due to safety or logistical concerns. No refund will be provided for changes within the itinerary.

 Payment Policy

1. Payments can be made via bank transfer, UPI, or any other modes listed on the website.
2. Partial payments may be allowed for selected trips. The balance must be cleared before the trip start date.
3. Payment receipts and confirmations will be shared via email or text message.
4. Failure to complete payments within the stipulated timeline may result in automatic cancellation of the booking.

 Code of Conduct

1. Participants are expected to respect fellow travelers, the Ecohikes team, and local communities. Any inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
2. Alcohol, drugs, or any illegal substances are strictly prohibited during the trips.
3. Littering is prohibited. Participants are encouraged to carry back any waste to preserve the environment.

1. Cancellation Policy for Treks and Experiences in the Eastern Ghats

 

This policy applies to treks and experiences such as Jindagada Trek, Waterfalls Camping, Gali Konda Trek, Simhachalam Trek, and similar activities in the Eastern Ghats region.

    •    Cancellation 10 Days or More Before the Event Start Date:

Participants will receive a 100% refund of the total booking amount.

    •    Cancellation Between 7 to 9 Days Before the Event Start Date:

Participants will receive a 50% refund of the total booking amount.

    •    Cancellation Between 5 to 6 Days Before the Event Start Date:

Participants will receive a 25% refund of the total booking amount.

    •    Cancellation 3 Days or Less Before the Event Start Date:

No refund will be provided.

 

Note:

    •    Participants who fail to show up for the event or leave mid-way will not be eligible for any refund.

    •    Rescheduling or transferring a booking to another person is allowed only if requested at least 7 days in advance and is subject to availability.

 

2. Cancellation Policy for Treks and Experiences in the Himalayas

 

This policy applies to treks and experiences in destinations such as Ladakh, Kashmir, Manali, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. These treks require significant planning and resource allocation, so stricter cancellation terms apply.

    •    Cancellation 1 Month or More Before the Event Start Date:

Participants will receive a 100% refund of the total booking amount.

    •    Cancellation Between 20 to 30 Days Before the Event Start Date:

Participants will receive a 50% refund of the total booking amount.

    •    Cancellation 10 to 19 Days Before the Event Start Date:

Participants will not be eligible for any refund.

 

Note:

    •    Himalayan treks often involve pre-booked logistics, including permits, transportation, and accommodation, which are non-refundable.

    •    Transfers to a future date or to another person may be allowed, provided the request is made at least 20 days in advance and subject to availability.

 

3. Refund Process

 

    •    Refunds will be processed within 7 business days from the date of cancellation approval.

    •    Refunds will be credited to the same account from which the payment was made.

    •    Depending on the participant’s bank or payment provider, it may take 7 to 10 business days for the amount to reflect in the account.

 

4. Important Notes for All Participants

 

    1.  Unforeseen Circumstances:

    •    In the event of natural disasters, political unrest, or other unforeseen circumstances leading to trip cancellation, refunds or credits for future trips will be offered at EcoHikes’ discretion.

    2.    No Refunds for No-Shows:

    •    Participants who fail to show up on the day of the event or leave mid-way will not be eligible for refunds.

    3.    Non-Refundable Deposits:

    •    Some treks may require non-refundable deposits due to the nature of the logistics involved. This will be clearly communicated during the booking process.

    4.    Custom Experiences:

    •    For customized treks or experiences, the cancellation and refund terms will be specified in the itinerary agreement and may differ from the standard policy.
