The drone sees it best: a green island floating on a sea of morning cloud. Sinkaram Gutta is the Eastern Ghats at their most remote.
On the border where Andhra meets Odisha, Sinkaram Gutta rises to about 1,620 m through true wilderness — high-altitude grasslands, silent ridgelines and villages that see few visitors. The standard route runs 9–16 km over two days and can be extended to 20 km. It's a gentler climb than its remoteness suggests, which makes it one of the finest first summit camps: sunrise above the clouds, earned softly.

Questions, answered
Is this a good first summit trek?
Yes — it's easy-to-moderate, and children from 6 years join with family. The reward-to-effort ratio is unmatched.
How remote is it, really?
Remote. The trail sits on the Andhra–Odisha border, far from towns — no network for most of the trek, few other people.
Where do we sleep?
In tents near the summit — tents, mattresses and sleeping bags are provided.
When is it most beautiful?
Winter dawns for the cloud sea; monsoon for green grasslands and dramatic skies.
Can the route be extended?
Yes — up to about 20 km for those who want a longer wilderness walk.
