Spend the Republic Day weekend on the highest peak of Andhra Pradesh: take Monday off and make it a four-day weekend.
The Republic Day Trek is a 2-day, 1-night guided camping trek to Jindhagada (1,690 m) in Andhra Pradesh on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 January 2027, so one day off gives you a four-day weekend. ₹5,250 per person (₹5,000 for couples, families and groups, ₹3,500 for children 6–12) includes transport from Visakhapatnam, five meals, camping and a trek lead.
Jindhagada — locally known as Seethamma Konda — rises to 1,690 m in Hukumpeta Mandal, and is home to the Kond, Valmiki, Bhagata, Kondadora and Koyedora communities. Trekking here is more than a summit: ancient forests, crystal streams, coffee plantations and the living culture of the Eastern Ghats. The camp runs Monday 25 to Tuesday 26 January, so one day off gives you a four-day weekend.
