Jalada Waterfall Trek

Forest trails, natural pools and one of the Eastern Ghats' most beautiful waterfalls

Sometimes the best adventures end beside a waterfall. A refreshing day of forest trails, natural pools and long swims below Jalada.

Jalada is the day-trip version of our waterfall weekends: an easy 4–6 km forest walk in the Ananthagiri hills that ends at a waterfall you can stand inside. The middle of the day belongs to the plunge pool — swimming, photographs, an outdoor lunch by the water — before the amble back and the evening drive to Vizag. Family-friendly from age 6.

Questions, answered

Can I swim if I'm not a strong swimmer?

The pool has shallow edges and the leads mark the safe zones — you set your own depth.

Is it kid-friendly?

Yes, from age 6 — short forest walking and a long, happy pool stop.

What about the monsoon?

The falls are at their most dramatic just after the rains; during heavy rain we pause departures for safety.

“A mesmerising waterfall trek — magical. Ravi, Naveen and Manohar take care of people and make every trek safe and memorable. This was my 3rd time with Ecohikes and many more to come.”
