Climb Simhachalam on Diwali evening and watch fireworks bloom over Visakhapatnam from the hilltop.
The Diwali Night Hike is a guided 12 km evening hike up Simhachalam hill in Visakhapatnam on Sunday 8 November 2026. You watch the Diwali fireworks over the city from the viewpoint and come down by torchlight. Adults ₹1,000, groups of 6+ ₹900 each, children (6–12) ₹800.
This is our classic 12 km Simhachalam evening hike, planned for Diwali night. We gather in the afternoon, climb through forest and temple trails to the viewpoint for sunset, then watch the fireworks over the city and the Bay of Bengal before a torchlit descent. The forest shares a boundary with Kambalakonda Wildlife Sanctuary, so wildlife sightings are possible but never guaranteed.
