This is a beach camp for people who want the ocean without a hard trek. We reach the coast near Anakapalli by 3 PM and walk about an hour on sand between cashew farms and palm trees. After some time on the beach, a short hike takes us up to a cliff, where we pitch our tents by 6 PM. As the full moon rises from the horizon of the sea, we cook outdoors, light a small campfire and trade stories. After dinner we spread mats outside, listen to the waves under the moon and then sleep in our tents. In the morning we watch the sun come up, climb down to the shore, explore the rocks, small caves and sand, have breakfast and head back, reaching Vizag by 11 AM to 12 PM. There is very little trekking, so it suits first-timers and families.
